ACT I
Scene 1: Infirmary
Sam is shaking and it has started to hit her that Daniel is really dead. Janet asks if she can remember anything about what happened and all Same can remember is Daniel screaming.
Teal'c is pacing around one of the infirmary beds and gets angry with a nurse when she wants to take his blood pressure. Teal'c is released to go back to his room.
Jack is sitting on one of the beds with his knees drawn up and he is distant. He tells Teal'c to calm down with the nurse. Janet gives him a cursory exam but he reacts badly to the pen light and she tells him the rest can wait until later. Jack takes the opportunity to leave.
Scene 2: Briefing Room
The remaining members of SG-1 are giving their report on what happened on the planet. The interviews are being taped. First up was Teal'c, then Sam then Jack.
Sam remembers they were taking soil samples.
Jack states Daniel called out, "Colonel, help me" as he was engulfed in flames, then Daniel was gone.
Hammond tried to console Jack, but Jack isn't accepting it. Jack says they jumped in a "lake or sea" to escape the flames.
Hammond says they will send a team back to get Daniel's body. Jack is adamant they do not return as the planet is to "volatile and unstable."
Scene Three: Hammond and Janet in corridor
Janet gives him her preliminary report on SG-1 and states she is concerned with the post traumatic stress symptoms they are all showing. Hammond thinks the best way to help them is to get the rest of the team back out in the field as soon as possible. Janet disagrees and demands, and gets, a week's downtime for the rest of SG-1.
Scene 4: Gateroom
Funeral for Daniel. Full military honors ceremony. As an honor flag is folded Jack gives his eulogy:
Daniel Jackson made this place … happen. As a member of SG-1, he was our voice, our conscience. He was a very courageous man. He was a good man. For those of us who were lucky enough to have known him, he was also a friend.
As a bugler plays Taps, Jack and Sam send a wreath through the 'gate, presumably to the planet Daniel died on.
Scene 5: Alien Planet
Daniel wakes up very wet. He doesn't know where he is or where the rest of SG-1 is.
ACT II
Scene 1: Jack's House
Jack is hosting a wake for Daniel. Many people are there and we see Sam and Teal'c arriving.
Jack is telling a woman the a story about Sha're kissing Daniel (see scene in CotG) when Sam and Teal'c walk in. Sam is trying to explain to wake the idea behind a wake. Jack offers them a beer, Sam accepts, Teal'c declines. As Jack is pouring out the beer, he gets a flashback to bubbles rising and Daniel calling out to him for help. Jack is upset and leaves going outside.
Scene 2: Alien Planet
Daniel is looking around when he discovers a blue, scaly alien standing behind him. Daniel tries to make friends, but the alien is having none of it. He shows Daniel some text inscribed on one of the walls.
Daniel tells him it's Cuneiform, one of the oldest writing methods known on Earth. He then starts to translate is as, "Reveal. Fate. Omoroca."
Daniel wants to know who or what Omoroca is, the alien gets angry and throws Daniel across the room.
Scene 3: Jack's House
Jack is in his driveway shoots balls at a net with a hockey stick. He's very upset and breaks a car window. General Hammond comes to see what the ruckus is about and Jack tells him he's thinking of retiring. General Hammond doesn't think Jack is really serious, Jack says he is. General Hammond then tells Jack there is a job SG-21 needs to do, namely clearing out Daniel's apartment, for security reasons, but also because they are the closest thing Daniel had to family. Hammond also tells Jack it was his car window Jack broke.
Scene 4: Alien Planet
Daniel is translating another section of the wall. He tells the alien that it is an ancient legal code, probably 2000 B.C. Alien then asks Daniel "What fate Omoroca?" Daniel is still trying to be the diplomat and that they are willing to share information. The alien doesn't believe Daniel is telling the truth and thinks the humans are in league with the Goa'uld. Daniel tries to convince the alien otherwise, but the alien isn't listening and demands again "What fate, Omoroca?" Daniel starts getting upset and the alien in frustration walks away, shows Daniel some food and a bed, then leaves. Daniel tried again to get more information and that he doesn't know what the alien wants. The alien tells Daniel he will die on the planet unless he tells the alien what he wants to know.

Scene 1: Daniel's apartment
Remaining members of SG-1 are in Daniel's living room looking at various things. Sam finds Daniel's journals and starts reading parts from the earliest one. The team starts to get the idea that they can't accept that Daniel is really gone. Teal'c talks about a game Daniel has called The Jackel and the Hound. Sam has a flashback to rising water and Daniel calling for help while she looks at Daniel's fish tank. All three then realize they have had the same vision at time and they leave to go back to the base without packing much of Daniel's apartment.
Scene 2: Alien Planet
Alien walks into room seemingly through a water door. Daniel is sitting on a step and demands to know where his friends are. The Alien tells him he planted a memory in the of SG-1's minds that Daniel died on the planet so they won't be coming back. He explains Daniel is the one he needs because Daniel knows about Babylon. Daniel is getting mad and wants to know who Omoroca is. The alien tells Daniel Omoroca is his mate and he needs Daniel to tell him what happened to her in Babylon. Daniel tries to explain that Babylon existed some 4000 years ago and he doesn't remember anything about an Omoroca. The alien insists the knowledge is in Daniel's mind somewhere. Alien thinks Daniel is deceiving him because humans are slaves to the Goa'uld. Daniel completely loses it and explains about Sha're. Daniel is mad, the alien is mad and the alien leaves.
Scene 3: Infirmary
Janet tells the rest of SG-1 that their brain chemistry is off, serotonin levels are too low. She then tells them they were all compromised somehow and there is an anomaly on all of their brain scans in the same place.
The alarm for the gate goes off and Jack, Sam and Teal'c all run for the 'gate room thinking Daniel is returning, they even believe they see him walking down the ramp, unfortunately, it's only SG-6 returning from a mission.
Now they really believe something is up and Jack suggests going back to the planet to look for Daniel. he gets a crushing headache and Hammond insists they all return to the infirmary.
Scene 4: Alien Planet
Daniel is investigating one of the controls in the alien room when the alien comes back.
They start again about Babylon. Daniel tries again to get more information on what it is the alien wants to hear. The Alien tells him the name Bellus, and the Omoroca was afraid of him. Daniel remembers reading about a Bellus who was a conqueror and asks for more information and offers to take the alien back to Earth with him so they can check his books. Alien refuses, still believing the humans are slaves to the Goa'uld. "That is the fate of humans. That Omoroca could not prevent."
Daniel tried to explain about the rebellion in Egypt and that humans are now free and rival the Goa'uld.
Scene 5: Briefing Room
Remaining members of SG-1 are again explaining about Daniel's death. Janet and Dr. Mackenzie are also present. Dr. Mackenzie is trying to get them to remember more specifics about the mission. Teal'c has a flashback to Daniel screaming for help.
Scene 6: Alien Planet
Daniel convinces alien to use the same machine he used on the rest of SG-1 to find out the information he wants Daniel to remember. The alien doesn't want to use the device that way as it may injure Daniel in the process. Daniel tells him he wants to go home and this is the only way they will both get what they want.
ACT IV
Scene 1: Briefing Room
Jack has had it and wants to go back to the planet to look for Daniel. Both Sam and Teal'c tell him they can't. Mackenzie has watched all this and thinks theirs is a conditioned response and suggests hypnosis.
"I'm not big on that whole bark line a chicken, cluck like a dog stuff," Jack tells him.
Teal'c doesn't think the process will work on him and Sam volunteers.
Scene 2: Infirmary
Mackenzie is hypnotizing Sam, Jack is at the back of the room. Sam is going back over the mission. They are collecting soil samples when a blue, scaly alien comes out of the water and scrutinizes SG-1. He goes up to Daniel and writes something in the sand. Daniel recognizes the writing and answers.
Sam then remembers the alien's room and that all three of them were strapped to some sort of machine.
Sam is now screaming that they have to get to the water when Jack shakes her awake. She's crying and they both now know Daniel is alive and they've left him behind.
Scene 3: Alien Planet
Daniel is strapped to the alien machine. Alien tries again to convince Daniel not to do this, Daniel tells him it's the only way, he wants to go home.
Alien starts machine. Daniel is in some pain, but starts to quote a text he read years ago.
As he hesitates, the alien turns the machine up some more and Daniel quotes more of the text. This is the information the alien wants to know and he turns the machine up a third time.
Daniel is breathing hard and sweating, he then remembers that Bellus was a Goa'uld and killed Omoroca.
Scene 4: Surface of alien planet
SG-1 has returned to the planet and run to the shore of a body of water calling for Daniel. While they are standing there, the alien surfaces and comes towards them.
Meanwhile, Daniel has figured out how to escape and he follows the alien tot eh surface. He surfaces and yells to SG-1 not to shoot the alien.
Daniel scrambles to shore and tells Nem he has him answer and to let the team go. Daniel and Sam still try diplomacy and offer Nem friendship, Nem declines. He turns to Daniel and says "And in time, Daniel, you will learn what fate Sha're." he looks at the other members of SG-1 and them goes back to the water.
