Teal’c was walking along a road towards a shop. Towards a bakery shop to be more precise. He went up to the door and walked in. The man at the counter looked up and saw the man.
“Morning Murray. What can I get for you today?”
“I would like to purchase some doughnuts.”
“How many would you like? We have a very nice selection. We have double chocolate, jam, ring, ring sprinkles, iced doughnuts and a very special one today – ginger doughnuts.” Teal’c looked at each of the doughnuts in the cabinet in front of him.
“One of each please.”
“Certainly my good friend. You sure you’re not a cop? Cause cops always like their doughnuts.” said the baker as he began to pack the doughnuts into a white box.
“I am not.”
“Ok, so what do you do for a living?”
Teal’c paused and thought of an answer for a couple of seconds. He remembered his dream that he had had when trying to keep Bra’tac and himself alive with his own symbiote.
“I am a fireman.”
"Times New Roman"'>“Close enough. They’re both emergency services aren’t they?” He sealed up the box. “That’ll be $3.50.” Teal’c passed the money over to him. “Thanks. Enjoy them. And I hope to see you soon.”
“I am sure I will return.” Teal’c took the box of doughnuts and left the shop. The baker watched him leave and shook his head.
“He sure is one strange fella.”
“Who is?” asked the second baker who had just brought out some more food from the kitchen.
“That Murray. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone like him.”
“I don’t think anyone has. You know I’ve always believe that he was from outer space.”
“An alien? You’re kidding.”
“Well, you can think what you like.” He then went back into the kitchen.
